Monitoring of variable speed control of exhaust and make-up air on four Florida buildings is performed. Computer modeling is used to determine energy and demand savings on a yearly basis.

Policies of dealing with energy programs are often misdirected. Decision makers jump first to fuel substitution to either lower emissions or counter fuel price escalation. When it comes to both return on short-term economic investment and long-term sustainability for the economy and environment, there is a clear hierarchy.
