In this paper, a new approach for extracting three-dimensional information from single camera vision system is presented. Only one plan view of the object will be obtained from a camera when the object is placed in the air, even if the threshold of the camera is varied. The result will be however significantly different when the object is located in a colour liquid. It is due to high absorption of the light in a colour liquid.
