Mechanical Properties Of Sand 3d Printed Rock-Like Samples Based On Different Post-Processing Methods, Wei Tian, Xiao-Hui Wang, Wei Yun, Xu Cheng
Rock and Soil Mechanics
3D printing, a rapid prototyping technology, has great potential for applications in laboratory rock tests, but the low strength and stiffness of 3D printed samples have been one of the key problems that need to be addressed. In order to find a way to enhance the strength and stiffness of 3D printed rock-like samples, GS19 sand and furan resin were selected as printing materials, and sand 3D printed rock-like samples were used as research objects. Based on this, the samples were post-processed using three different methods: vacuum infiltration, low-temperature treatment, and combination of infiltration and low-temperature. Uniaxial compression tests were …

Rock and Soil Mechanics
In order to improve the reinforcement effect of microbially induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) technology on sand, the test of MICP-treated sand reinforced by pozzolan was designed and carried out considering the porous structure and activity characteristics of pozzolan. The enhancement effect and enhancement mechanism of pozzolan on the MICP-treated sand were systematically analyzed by integrating macroscopic physical and mechanical tests and microscopic tests. The results showed that: 1) Pozzolan could significantly improve the bacteria fixation rate and cementation material production in the process of sand microbial reinforcement, and the optimal amount of pozzolan content was around 10%, which increased …

Experimental Study Of Dispersive Clay Modified By Calcium Lignosulfonate, Sheng-Ge Ji, Bao-Zhong Wang, Xiu-Juan Yang, Heng-Hui Fan
Rock and Soil Mechanics
Dispersive clay is a type of water-sensitive soil, which has the characteristics of dispersivity and material loss when encountering water. The influential factors and modification mechanism of dispersive clay modified by calcium lignosulfonate (CL) were studied using dispersivity test, mechanical property test, chemical property test, microstructure test and simulated rainfall scouring test. The test results indicated that with the increase in CL content, the dispersivity, slake durability and erosion resistance of the modified soil were gradually improved, and it had a good modification effect when the CL content reached 3.0%. The unconfined compressive strength (UCS) first increased and then decreased, …

Rock and Soil Mechanics
An RLW-2000 micro-computer servo-control rock triaxial testing machine was used to carry out triaxial cyclic loading and unloading experiments of saturated and natural shales under different confining pressures. The mechanical properties and hysteresis effects of two hydrated shales were analyzed. The evolution law of the damping ratio was discussed based on the energy principle. The experimental results show that as the cycle number increases, the cumulative residual strain increases gradually. The relative residual strain decreases first and then tends to a stable region, and finally increases rapidly prior to the rock damage. The deformation modulus of the saturated shale is …
