Blockchain-Based Healthcare Portal – A Bibliometric Analysis, Aditi Goyal, Aditya Banerjee, Aniket Mulik, Yashika Chhabaria, Sonali Kothari Tidke Dr, Vijayshri Khedkar

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

User privacy has been a topmost priority and one such domain where this is neglected is the area of healthcare. Our solution focuses on the idea of using blockchain to provide a platform for healthcare experts and patients, giving patients full control over the data that will be shared. This paper focuses on identifying current research that has been conducted in this area in the form of a bibliometric analysis. A bibliometric study on a research area involves a detailed analysis of citations and papers across a domain of study. The purpose of this study is a statistical analysis of …

Metamorphic Testing Of Navigation Software: A Pilot Study With Google Maps, Joshua Brown, Zhiquan Zhou, Yang-Wai Chow Jan 2018

Metamorphic Testing Of Navigation Software: A Pilot Study With Google Maps, Joshua Brown, Zhiquan Zhou, Yang-Wai Chow

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part B

Millions of people use navigation software every day to commute and travel. In addition, many systems rely upon the correctness of navigation software to function, ranging from directions applications to self-driving machinery. Navigation software is difficult to test because it is hard or very expensive to evaluate its output. This difficulty is generally known as the oracle problem, a fundamental challenge in software testing. In this study, we propose a metamorphic testing strategy to alleviate the oracle problem in testing navigation software, and conduct a case study by testing the Google Maps mobile app, its web service API, and its …

Action Recognition Based On Joint Trajectory Maps Using Convolutional Neural Networks, Pichao Wang, Zhaoyang Li, Yonghong Hou, Wanqing Li

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part A

Recently, Convolutional Neural Networks (ConvNets) have shown promising performances in many computer vision tasks, especially image-based recognition. How to effectively use ConvNets for video-based recognition is still an open problem. In this paper, we propose a compact, effective yet simple method to encode spatiotemporal information carried in 3D skeleton sequences into multiple 2D images, referred to as Joint Trajectory Maps (JTM), and ConvNets are adopted to exploit the discriminative features for realtime human action recognition. The proposed method has been evaluated on three public benchmarks, i.e., MSRC-12 Kinect gesture dataset (MSRC-12), G3D dataset and UTD multimodal human action dataset (UTD-MHAD) …

Verifiable And Anonymous Encryption In Asymmetric Bilinear Maps, Hui Cui, Yi Mu, Man Ho Au Jan 2013

Verifiable And Anonymous Encryption In Asymmetric Bilinear Maps, Hui Cui, Yi Mu, Man Ho Au

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part A

Consider a practical scenario: an untrusted gate-way is required to verify all the incoming information en-crypted via an encryption scheme, while the sender does not want to reveal any information about the plaintext and the privileged user to the gateway. That is, the gateway distributes the information to a predefined group of users and only the privileged user can open the message. To solve this problem, we need an access control mechanism to allow certain specification of the access control policies while protecting the users' privacy. With this scenario in mind, we propose the notion of verifiable and anonymous encryption …

Projection Of Undirected And Non-Positional Graphs Using Self Organizing Maps, Markus Hagenbuchner, Shujia Zhang, Ah Chung Tsoi, Alessandro Sperduti Jan 2009

Projection Of Undirected And Non-Positional Graphs Using Self Organizing Maps, Markus Hagenbuchner, Shujia Zhang, Ah Chung Tsoi, Alessandro Sperduti

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part A

Kohonen's Self-Organizing Map is a popular method which allows the projection of high dimensional data onto a low dimensional display space. Models of Self-Organizing Maps for the treatment of graphs have also been defined and studied. This paper proposes an extension to the GraphSOM model which substantially improves the stability of the model, and, as a side effect, allows for an acceleration of training. The proposed extension is based on a soft encoding of the information needed to represent the vertices of an input graph. Experimental results demonstrate the advantages of the proposed extension.

Identifying And Explaining Map Quality Through Provenance: A User Study, Nicholas Ricky Del Rio, Paulo Pinheiro Da Silva Jan 2008

Identifying And Explaining Map Quality Through Provenance: A User Study, Nicholas Ricky Del Rio, Paulo Pinheiro Da Silva

Departmental Technical Reports (CS)

Applications deployed on cyber-infrastructures often rely on multiple data sources and distributed compute resources to access, process, and derive results. When application results are maps, it is possible that non-intentional imperfections can get introduced into the map generation processes because of several reasons including the use of low quality datasets, use of data filtering techniques incompatible for the kind of map to be generated, or even the use of inappropriate mapping parameters, e.g., low-resolution gridding parameters. Without some means for accessing and visualizing the provenance associated with map generation processes, i.e., metadata about information sources and methods used to derive …

A Synthesised Knowledge Mapping Framework To Embed A Km Strategy Using Topic Maps And Wikis: The Tao Of Wiki, Colman A.J. Mcmahon Jan 2008

A Synthesised Knowledge Mapping Framework To Embed A Km Strategy Using Topic Maps And Wikis: The Tao Of Wiki, Colman A.J. Mcmahon

Dissertations

Just getting started with knowledge management can be difficult enough for many organisations, however the real challenge is actually how to embed the new practices. The expression "Success is a journey, not a destination" is particularly apt for KM. This research presents findings from stakeholder analyses carried out in an Irish government agency. The agency has been on its KM journey for nearly four years and has attempted to implement a comprehensive and full-scale strategy. The findings indicate that KM practices have not yet become fully embedded in the organisation. This research uncovers some of the reasons why not. In …

Discovering Prediction Model For Environmental Distribution Maps, Ke Zhang, Huidong Jin, Nianjun Liu, Rob Lesslie, Lei Wang, Zhouyu Fu, Terry Caelli

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part A

Currently environmental distribution maps, such as for soil fertility, rainfall and foliage, are widely used in the natural resource management and policy making. One typical example is to predict the grazing capacity in particular geographical regions. This paper uses a discovering approach to choose a prediction model for real-world environmental data. The approach consists of two steps: (1) model selection which determines the type of prediction model, such as linear or non-linear; (2) model optimisation which aims at using less environmental data for prediction but without any loss on accuracy. The latter step is achieved by automatically selecting non-redundant features …

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part A

This paper is concerned with a description of the techniques for the development of digital maps of geology and slope instability. The validation of such maps by field inspection and checking is highlighted. These techniques have been used successfully for the suburbs of the northern Wollongong region of New South Wales. Such maps allow the flexibility of future modifications as additional and or more reliable data becomes available. These maps will facilitate decisions on the planning and management of land use. Currently, 295 cases of land instability have been documented within the study area. The maps are also expected to …
