Influence Of The Aluminum Oxide Additive On The Phase Composition Of Mullit-Forming Aluminosilicate Minerals, Mkrtchyan Ripsime, Aripova Mastura

The aim of the research is to determine the effect of alumina on the phase composition of shale of the Jerdanak deposit and the quartz-pyrophyllite rock of the Baynaksay deposit during high-temperature firing. X-ray phase analysis determined changes in the phase composition of rocks with additives from 5 to 20% aluminum oxide as a result of firing at 1300 and 1400 °C. A comparative analysis revealed the absence of cristobalite formation, a decrease in the quartz content, and an increase in the amount of mullite for shale samples.
