This bibliometric analysis in this paper aims to study the quantitative progress done in the artificial compressibility (AC) method-based CFD simulation and analyze its potential in solving incompressible flow simulations in computational fluid dynamics smoothly. The sector of CFD is enhancing more and more maturely due to advancements in computing architecture, numerical methods, and simulation tools. There have been various attempts to solve the pressure-velocity coupling issue in the Navier-Stokes equation. The artificial compressibility method (ACM), as opposed to pressure-correction methods, solves the incompressible equation in a non-segregated manner. With the introduction of the ACM, the system of the equation …

Additive Manufacturing has wide application range including healthcare, Fashion, Manufacturing, Prototypes, Tooling etc. AM techniques are subjected to various defects that may be printing defects or anomalies in machine. There is gap between current AM techniques and smart manufacturing since current AM lacks in build sensors necessary for process monitoring and fault detection. Both of these issues can be solved by incorporating real-time monitoring into AM. So the study is carried out to identify recent work done in AM to improve current system. For this bibliometric study Scopus database is used, study is kept limited to year 2010-2021 and English …

A Bibliometric Analysis Of Variable Displacement Pump For Optimal Control Of Operating Parameters, Anurag Ashokkumar Nema, Nagraj R. Gandhe May 2021

A Bibliometric Analysis Of Variable Displacement Pump For Optimal Control Of Operating Parameters, Anurag Ashokkumar Nema, Nagraj R. Gandhe

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

A centralized lubrication system or automatic lubrication system (ALS) is a system that delivers controlled amounts of lubricant to multiple locations on a machine while the machine is operating as per machine requirement. Lubrication occurs while the machinery is in operation, causing the lubricant to be equally distributed within the bearing and increasing the machine’s availability. Proper lubrication of critical components ensures the safe operation of the machinery. Less wear on the elements results in extension of component life, lower breakdowns, reduced downtime, reduced replacement costs, and reduced maintenance costs. If we can measure lubrication amounts, we can control the …

Artificial Intelligence-Driven Remaining Useful Life Prediction Of A Machinery-A Review, Dvij Barot, Honey Sharma, Mahika Yadav, Pooja Kamat Apr 2021

Artificial Intelligence-Driven Remaining Useful Life Prediction Of A Machinery-A Review, Dvij Barot, Honey Sharma, Mahika Yadav, Pooja Kamat

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

The Remaining Useful Life of a machine is very useful statistical information for the operator and manufacturer. It provides a very clear perspective to the user how long the machine can be operated and if any faults are detected how can they be prevented and ultimately increase the Remaining Useful Life. If the operators are aware of the forthcoming issues of the machine the downtime caused in the inspection, part delivery and eventually replacing parts is significantly reduced.

The paper presents a study on the remaining useful life of machinery as it is an emerging technique, starting from the year …

A Bibliometric Analysis Of Impact Energy Absorption System To Enhance Vehicle Crashworthiness, Archana Nema, Nagraj R. Gandhe Apr 2021

A Bibliometric Analysis Of Impact Energy Absorption System To Enhance Vehicle Crashworthiness, Archana Nema, Nagraj R. Gandhe

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

In automotive engineering, crashworthiness is defined as an automobile's functionality to shield its occupants from critical harm or death just in case of accidents of a given proportion. The comprehensive study observed composite materials exhibit a high specific energy absorption rate in a controlled manner while crushing. Crashworthiness research has also captured attention, especially to evaluate the energy absorbing capacity of different components made from composite material while undergoing deformation. Composite materials may be custom designed to show that specific energy absorption abilities are better than the metal structures. The present study will benefit the community of engineers resulting in …

Evaluation Of Friction Stir Processing For Fabrication Of Composites In The Context Of Industry 4.0: A Bibliometric Review, Arunkumar Bongale, Pragya Saxena, Satish Kumar

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Aluminum alloys having good strength to weight ratio and resistance to corrosion have a wide range of applications in aerospace, automobiles, military, sports and many other applications. In order to enhance the hardness and wear resistance of the surface without compromising the bulk properties, aluminum matrix based surface composites fabricated with various reinforcements on the surface are now a days being utilized widely as new generation materials. In the manufacturing of metal surface hybrid composites (precisely of light weight alloys like- Al, Mg, etc.), the friction stir processing is a promising new solid state processing technique which is versatile enough …

Modelling is a way of constructing a virtual representation of software and hardware that involves a real-world device. We will discover the behaviour of the system if the software elements of this model are guided by mathematical relationships. For testing conditions that may be difficult to replicate with hardware prototypes alone, modelling and simulation are particularly useful, especially in the early phase of the design process when hardware might not be available. Model-based approach in MATLAB-Simulink can be useful for predictive maintenance of machines as it can reduce unplanned downtimes and maintenance costs when industrial equipment breaks. Through this bibliometric …
