The field of wireless technology has come a long way from connecting humans to humans, human to machines and now machines to machines. The boom in the wireless communication and increased number of systems used in latest wireless and radar applications creates the need for reconfigurable antennas. This paper presents an analysis of a circularly polarized reconfigurable antenna for 5G applications. The activation mechanisms, design and ways to optimize the operation of reconfigurable antennas are discussed. With the world moving towards 5G, which expects its reach in remote areas as well, the circular polarization patch antennas are well suited for …

Stupendous progress in heterogeneous communication technologies has allowed smart city gadgets to communicate with one another. However, these communication technologies are not able to offer the connectivity that is needed in smart cities because of the coexistence of hundreds and thousands of devices, which leads to various problems like, high energy consumption, interoperability support among the heterogeneous wireless networks, interference management, scalable wireless solutions, and mobility management. Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication is one of the key enablers for advanced applications and services. The aim of this bibliometric review is to understand the extent of the existing literature for the area of …

Nowadays most discussed technology is mm-wave and 5G communication. The requirement of 5G technology is high bandwidth, high data rate, and low latency. To fulfil these requirements for the current growth in mobile communication multiple input multiple output antenna is used. This bibliometric paper throws light on the various methods used to improve mutual coupling between multiple antennas. Various mutual coupling reduction techniques that are used in MIMO antennas like Dielectric resonator antenna, Electromagnetic Bandgap Structure, Neutralization lines, Defected Ground Structures, Metamaterial, etc. are explained. Scopus database is used for this bibliometric review on mm-wave MIMO 5G technology from the …

A Bibliometric Survey On Ultra Wideband Multiple Input Multiple Output Antenna With Improved Isolation, Laxmikant K. Shevada, Hema D. Raut, Rajeshwari R. Malekar, Amruta S. Dixit, Sumit Kumar

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Ultra wideband (UWB) technology remains a viable choice for very high speed data communication in future applications involving large bandwidth. For boosting the data communication efficiency and to mitigate the multipath fading issue faced by UWB system with existing narrowband systems, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna system is used along with UWB. Mutual coupling which must be smaller in value plays a vital role in deciding the efficiency of MIMO antenna and hence it becomes as important aspect. The mutual coupling reduction techniques of various UWB MIMO antennas are surveyed in this bibliometric paper. The bibliometric survey aims to …

As the 5G technology is going to be deployed soon, so the research on the 5G antennas as a part of communication devices becomes an important aspect. One of the important components of the 5G communication system is an antenna that is essential for the transmission and reception of the 5G signals. The international telecommunication union (ITU) has provided different specifications for the 5G communication system. The 5G antenna should operate at frequency range 1 and 2 (FR1 and FR2) specified by the ITU. The proliferation of various 5G antenna designs is surveyed in this bibliometric paper. The bibliometric survey …
