Introduction: Approximately 0.2–5% of school-age children complain of listening difficulties in the absence of hearing loss. These children are often referred to an audiologist for an auditory processing disorder (APD) assessment. Adequate experience and training is necessary to arrive at an accurate diagnosis due to the heterogeneity of the disorder.

Objectives: The main goal of the study was to determine if machine learning (ML) can be used to analyze data from the APD clinical test battery to accurately categorize children with suspected APD into clinical sub-groups, similar to expert labels.

Spectrum sensing is an essential component in cognitive radios (CR). Machine learning (ML) algorithms are powerful techniques for designing a promising spectrum sensing model. In this work, the supervised ML algorithms, support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbor (kNN), and decision tree (DT) are applied to detect the existence of primary users (PU) over the TV band. Moreover, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is incorporated to speed up the learning of the classifiers. Furthermore, the ensemble classification-based approach is employed to enhance the classifier predictivity and performance. In this paper, STLF in a Microgrid (MG) is performed via the hybrid applications of machine learning. Electricity price, consumption, and demand forecasting has been a topic of research interest for a long time. The proliferation of smart meters has created new opportunities in energy prediction. This paper investigates energy cost forecasting in the context of entertainment event-organizing venues, which poses significant difficulty due to fluctuations in energy demand and wholesale electricity prices. The objective is to predict the overall cost of energy consumed during an entertainment event.
