Identification Of Faults In Highways Using Approximation Methods And Algorithms, Khudayberdiyev Khakkulmirzayevich Mirzaakbar, Anvar Asatilloyevich Ravshanov

Chemical Technology, Control and Management

Many fast Fourier transforms are used to identify defective parts of uneven surfaces on roads and send information to relevant organizations on the road, using the " RAVON YO‘LLAR" application installed on a mobile device during car movement. We determine the uneven parts of the road. Smooth and well-maintained roads reduce the risk of vehicle collisions, skidding and other road-related incidents. Timely measures contribute to overall safety, comfort and economic efficiency.

Regression Tree Predictive Filter, Jarren Worthen May 2022

Regression Tree Predictive Filter, Jarren Worthen

Undergraduate Honors Capstone Projects

Many algorithms have been developed to predict future samples of a signal. These algorithms, such as the recursive least squares predictive filter, rely on the assumption that the system generating the signal can be modeled as a linear system of equations. These systems perform poorly when used to predict signals generated by non-linear systems. To predict a non-linear signal, non-linear methods must be used. Regression trees are a simple form of machine learning that is non-linear in nature and can predict output based on a set of given input. The goal of this capstone project was to develop an algorithm …

Theses and Dissertations

Since the consensus problem is getting popular in recent researches and the applications based on it are expanding in current years! the consensus problem under the condition that constraints exist on agents’ state in continuous-time in a multi-agent system has been studied here. This work combines the projection operator method in a general consensus algorithm to avoid the violation of state on its individual constraint set. When the projection operator works in the general consensus algorithm, the constraint region is divided into the projection-operator working region and the non-projection region. The boundary between these two regions is a circular line. …

Maximum Size Of The Pareto Cost Sets For Multi-Constrained Optimal Routing, Derya Yiltaş Kaplan Jan 2017

Maximum Size Of The Pareto Cost Sets For Multi-Constrained Optimal Routing, Derya Yiltaş Kaplan

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

Routing under multiple independent constrains in point-to-point networks has been studied for over 10 years. Its NP-hardness keeps pushing researchers to study approximate algorithms and heuristics, and many results have been published in these years. To the best of our knowledge, the nature of its average case has been explored only for the self-adaptive multiple constraints routing algorithm (SAMCRA), which is an algorithm about multiple constraints routing. In this paper, we simplify SAMCRA into a format that is convenient for our average case analysis. This variant algorithm gives optimal solutions also for very large dimensional networks such as with more …

Global Optimization Methods For Localization In Compressive Sensing, Marco Rossi May 2014

Global Optimization Methods For Localization In Compressive Sensing, Marco Rossi

Dissertations

The dissertation discusses compressive sensing and its applications to localization in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radars. Compressive sensing is a paradigm at the intersection between signal processing and optimization. It advocates the sensing of “sparse” signals (i.e., represented using just a few terms from a basis expansion) by using a sampling rate much lower than that required by the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem (i.e., twice the highest frequency present in the signal of interest). Low-rate sampling reduces implementation’s constraints and translates into cost savings due to fewer measurements required. This is particularly true in localization applications when the number of measurements is …
