"This thesis develops a method and a resulting computer program for estimating the energy input required by the heating-cooling-ventilating system of a building. The computer program has the ability to model the ventilating system and all the inefficiencies introduced when the heating system is allowed to fight the cooling system to provide temperature control within the conditioned space. The program also can consider mechanical heat reclaim accurately, making the consideration on a time of need versus a time of occurrence basis.
