Chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers affect many thousands of people in Australia. In addition to the costs of these wounds in terms of human suffering, loss of income and resources, there are costs related to the treatment of ulcers. Thus, there is a genuine need to develop an accurate and a fully objective application for wound measurement. The aim of this project was to create software for the measurement of wounds.
