Earthquakes in the past and in the recent times have demonstrated the extreme vulnerability of the water pipe networks. The impacts of such earthquakes on the water supply network can lead to significant direct and indirect losses. These losses highlight the critical need for seismic rehabilitation of water pipe network. Despite such criticality, water supply network managers are often constrained in what they can do with the limited rehabilitation budget that they have access to.
