This unit will help students recognize the many ways that plants and animals adapt to their environments. Students will explore how an organism s environment affects the way the organism looks, as well as identify challenges that organisms face both past and present. Students will also compare endangered or extinct animals with animals that are successful. In doing this, they will attempt to discern why certain animals thrive while others do not.
