The purpose of this study is to ascertain the impact or influence of television on the attitudes and behavior of school children of elementary, junior high, and senior high school age. Factors which may affect their behavior are: (1) the amount of time pupils spend in watching television compared to time spent in other activities; (2) their preferences for types of programs; (3) the esteem held for television in relation to other social activities of the family; and (4) the effect, if any, of television on the career interests of youth.

The factors of its effect on morale and the encouragement of professional growth must be considered. The ability of the state and the school district to finance such a schedule must be determinants.
