Weary In Well Doing: A Descriptive Study Of Burnout In Teachers Working In Christian Schools, Cassandra Maria Lopez

The purpose of this study was to examine how burnout is experienced by teachers working in Christian schools. Exploring how teachers working in Christian schools experience burnout, as well as which teacher characteristics are the best predictors of burnout, may assist Christian school leaders in creating “flame retardant” organizations. This quantitative study utilized a survey research method. Teachers in 25 Christian schools located in Central Florida were invited to complete a survey on job-related attitudes which included the 22 items of the Maslach Burnout Inventory—Educator Survey.
