DePaul's College of Science and Health pivoted to online learning when the COVID-19 pandemic precluded in-person instruction. Using Labster and personalized support from tech-savvy instructional designers in the college, faculty were able to create virtual lab experiences for such areas as nursing and biology.

Abstract

Background: Professional nurses spend more time with patients who are dying than any other health care professional. However, studies show that nurses feel unprepared, or unequipped, to provide adequate end-of-life (EOL) care to these patients, which has directed many organizations to dedicate resources to the development of effective EOL care education programs.
