This qualitative case study uses the Capability Approach (CA) as a framework for experiential learning courses in the Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Windsor, in Ontario, Canada. Specifically, this is a case study of two courses titled Ways of Knowing and Ways of Doing that are offered as undergraduate general credit electives. In this paper, we describe the case study context and provide a brief introduction to the CA. Experiential Learning (EL), including a range of pedagogical approaches such as co-ops and community service learning, connect the university and its external community. Universities are considering such approaches to meet a number of needs and priorities both on and off-campus. Esta tesis doctoral tiene como objetivo general determinar el valor agregado para los Núcleos Básicos del Conocimiento y para las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) de nivel de pregrado y formación universitaria, en términos de las competencias genéricas en Colombia, y el aporte metodológico, desde un enfoque de la Economía de la Educación en el periodo 2012 - 2016.
