Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model pembelajaran pengenalan teknik dasar tenis meja untuk siswa sekolah dasar kelas atas. Model yang dikembangkan adalah teknik forehand dan backhand yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik siswa SD kelas atas. Model pengenalan teknik dasar tenis meja bertujuan agar digunakan guru dalam penyelenggaraan kegiatan belajar mengajar tenis meja untuk siswa SD kelas atas. Penelitian ini terdiri atas dua tahapan yaitu tahap penelitian pendahuluan dan tahap pengembangan. Hasil penelitian berupa pengembangan model pembelajaran pengenalan teknik dasar tenis meja terdiri atas: (1) teknik dasar peganggan, (2) kontrol bola dan (3) teknik dasar memantulkan bola. A Problem Of Play For Democratic Education? Abstraction, Realism, And Exploration In Learning Games. A Response To "The Challenges Of Gaming For Democratic Education: The Case Of Icivics", Benjamin Devane

In this review article, I argue that games are complementary, not self-supporting, learning tools for democratic education because they can: (a) offer simplified, but often not simple, outlines (later called “models”) of complex social systems that generate further inquiry; (b) provide practice spaces for exploring systems that do not have the often serious consequences of taking direct and immediate social, civic, and legal action; and (c) use rules to allow players to explore this aforementioned outline or model by making decisions and seeing an outcome. Innovative collaboration between schools and university can enhance teacher education. This model was developed as part of a partnership between a school principal leading a cluster of diverse primary schools, and a local university school of teacher education. The partnership established a memorandum of understanding to support targeted and standards-based professional learning for teachers and new leaders across the schools in the cluster. Novice pre-service teachers were also assigned to these schools for an extended weekly professional placement. Models play an important role in helping practitioners implement and promote information literacy. Over time models can lose relevance with the advances in technology, society, and learning theory. Practitioners and scholars often call for adaptations or transformations of these frameworks to articulate the learning needs in information literacy development. This study analyzes four recently published models from the United Kingdom. The initial findings were presented in a report for an ACRL taskforce reviewing the Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education.
