The need for human resources with expertise in managing information is needed. As the amount of arsiparist power with the need for power is far from balanced. The need for librarians is also very high in managing information. The purpose of this research is to know the views of graduates of the 2014 MID program that graduated in 2017 to the profession they will undergo. The study used the online survey method of MID student program class of 2014. Statistics Canada offers yearly regional training to post secondary institutions who are participating members of the Data Liberation Initiative (DLI). Library personnel who act as DLI delegates for their institutions learn how to gain access to statistics and data products and disseminate this information to researchers. This conference presentation focuses on Fanshawe College, the first Ontario college to join the DLI in 2008.

Credo Online Reference Service, popularly known as Credo Reference, is an e-reference database for K-12, public libraries, and academic libraries. The user-friendly interface provides an excellent place for students to begin their research, or to learn about the process of doing research during information literacy instruction. Instructors are provided with pre-proxied permalinks and embed codes that allow them to integrate any part of this resource into their learning management system.

The Arkansas Baptist History Collection of Ouachita Baptist University’s Riley-Hickingbotham Library Archives and Special Collections has been honored with the Baptist History and Heritage Society’s 2017 Davis C. Woolley Award for Outstanding Achievement in Assessing and Preserving Baptist History.
The national award honors the work of Dr. Wendy Richter, Ouachita professor and archivist, and her staff who coordinated the Special Collections project. The award was announced recently at the annual conference of the Baptist History and Heritage Society, hosted by First Baptist Church of Augusta, Ga., in partnership with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia.

Reimagining The Stacks: Classroom Technology And Library Collaboration For Writing In The Disciplines, Jossalyn Larson, Daniel C. Reardon
The Journal of Student Success in Writing
This article details the process by which one university redesigned a first year writing course to better promote discipline-specific and best-practice research techniques. The program offers experiential learning activities through scholarly collaboration, using library staff as mentors, producing an open-access peer-reviewed student journal, and emphasizing face-to-face interaction of peer research communities. It has the potential to establish for students in high school, community colleges and universities that research writing is fundamentally about joining and contributing to a conversation.
