Organizational structure is important in any business to ensure that organizational mission and goals are being met. The structure defines roles, establishes a hierarchy, and creates the culture for the organization. Establishing the structure will assist with communication, decision-making and the overall culture of the organization. Gaston College expressed a need to redesign their structure by combining all their nursing programs to create a School of Nursing.
