Mental Health Problems Among Elementary School Students Mandated To E-Learning: A Covid-19 Rapid Review Caveat, Renée M. D'Amore, Angelina N. Halpern, Lauren R. Reed, Kevin M. Gorey

Extended lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic mandated millions of students worldwide to e-learning and by default made many of their parents proxy homeschool teachers. Preliminary anecdotal, journalistic and qualitative evidence suggested that elementary school children and their parents were probably most vulnerable to this stressor and most likely to experience mental health problems because of it. We responded with a rapid review of 15 online surveys to estimate the magnitude of such risks and their predictors between 2020 and 2021. Tingginya ketergantungan manusia akan tekhnologi turut menggeser popularitas permainan tradisonal. Sementara pemahaman terhadap kekayaan nilai budaya lokal pada setiap permainan berperan penting dalam upaya pembinaan nilai antikorupsi sejak usia dini. Peneliti meneliti bagaimana dolanan bocah Caruban Nagari mampu berperan sebagai upaya pembinaan antikorupsi pada siswa Sekolah Dasar. Yaitu bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik permainan, mengkaji jenis-jenis permainan sebagai pendidikan antikorupsi, dan mengembangkan kecerdasan nilai-nilai kebajikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan serangkaian metode deskriptif analisis. Pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. This case study investigated how one teacher, Lidia (a pseudonym), used her own cross-cultural experiences to socially and academically assist elementary school students who were crossing cultural boundaries of their own. This study used ethnographic interviews and classroom observations to explore Lidia’s experiences and struggles as she crossed cultural boundaries and built intercultural competence and how those experiences related to her teaching methods. Lidia used stories, multicultural images, and the students’ home languages so that her students could become confident in their multicultural and multilingual identities instead of solely assimilating. Primary education is the core of development and progress sin modern societies. However the quality of teachers who are to ensure the realization of the aspirations we hold for our children has fallen below expectations. This study therefore investigated the entry qualifications, the mode of entry into and the reasons why students enroll in Colleges of Education. The findings showed that majority of the student teachers are not ‘good materials’ for teacher education and that only a few of them really have the genuine desire to become teachers.
