This study focuses on the correlation between Minnesota schools’ average socioeconomic status through the percentage enrolled in free/reduced lunch and instrumental music enrollment percentages. Additionally, it also looks to see whether providing different instrument provision opportunities to students in these schools correlates with the percentage of students enrolled in their instrumental music programs. Instrumental music enrollment and instrument provision program data were gathered through surveys completed by the directors of their respective programs. Abstract

This 2023 study examines the academic effects of a penalty-free late work policy. The study focuses on whether taking away penalties for late work significantly decreases the number of missing assignments at the end of an academic quarter. During the third quarter of the 2022/2023 academic school year, students will not receive point deductions for turning in late work. This research took place in South Florida and included approximately 50 10th grade biology students. Data and results from the study will follow.

Over the past few decades, modifications and laws have been put in place that has affected the Minnesota funding formula. The purpose of the study was to do a statistical analysis of the general education revenue trend data in regard to the fiscal equity and wealth neutrality. The purpose of this study was to determine if weekly one on one conferring with male students was effective in increasing motivation in adolescent male readers. The study began by collecting data on individual reading habits by having students complete a comprehensive questionnaire on their habits and attitudes towards reading. Male students then meet with their instructor on a weekly basis to orally outline their past reading habits, discuss current reading habits, and make goals for future reading habits. Violence has been an evident problem in schools across the United States. The literature review is designed to educate school personnel on current research to decrease school violence. A universal proactive approach is used with a trauma informed lens, to focus on students and teachers social/emotional and physical safety. A training has been implemented to increase educator’s awareness of the different types of violence. The training implements strategies for physical, social, and emotional safety needs, with positive change to improve school climate.
