The purpose of a Personal Finance course is to develop important financial literacy concepts that all adults need to thrive in today’s increasingly complex economy. A lack of financial literacy for many individuals in the United States is an extensive problem that erodes into individuals' livelihood when unaddressed. This research investigates the benefits of a Personal Finance class which teaches students introductory financial literacy content, as well as skills and strategies that they can implement to make a positive impact in their own lives as they grow into adulthood.
