Ouachita Baptist University professor of dietetics Dr. Detri Brech was awarded the Outstanding Nutrition Educator Award during the recent Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and dietetics annual meeting at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Ouachita Baptist University professor Dr. Raouf J. Halaby has been invited to write the introduction for the catalog of the international art exhibit "How Green Was My Valley" in New York City. He also moderated the eexhibit's "Artists' Talk" symposium on April 4. The exhibit opened on April 3 and will run through April 27 at the White Box Art Center.

Obu Trustees Elect Two New Faculty Members, Honor Keck And Webster As Emeriti Professors, Trennis Henderson, Ouachita News Bureau

Ouachita Baptist University trustees approved two new faculty members and honored two retiring professors during the university's quarterly Board of Trustees meeting on the Arkadelphia campus. The two new faculty, Myra Ann Houser and Allyson Phillips, were named to Ouachita's Sutton School of Social Sciences effective this fall. Houser was named assistant professor of history and Phillips was named assistant professor of psychology. The two retiring faculty members, Dr. Ouida Keck and Dr. Robert L. Webster, were named emeriti faculty.
