Second Interim Report Of Nab Schools First Evaluation Of The 2010 Awards : Submitted To The National Australia Bank Group, Robert Simons
Dr Robert Simons
The primary objective of the NAB Schools First Awards is to recognise social networks that already exist between schools and communities and to encourage both the strengthening of these and the building of new linkages. This report looks at how effectively NAB Schools First has recognised and encouraged school and community partnerships. It also looks at how effectively a subset of 2009 NAB Schools First Award partnerships can demonstrate improvements in partnership collaboration, sustainability, and effectiveness from 2010 to 2011. Also considered is the extent to which the NAB Schools First judging process ‘raised the bar’ on applications for Awards …

An Exploration Of How Disability Support Services Are Evaluated In Select Community Colleges, Donna Anita Walker
Dissertations
The purpose of this qualitative multi-site study was to explore how disability support service programs are evaluated in select Illinois community colleges through the use of the CIPP (context, input, process, and product) program evaluation framework. Stufflebeam’s (1969) CIPP model of program evaluation was adapted for this study. The study was undertaken to determine the following: (a) the fundamental elements of these programs; (b) why and in what ways the programs are implemented; (c) the evaluation process and impact on services; and (d) the influence of the knowledge base and skills of the director.

With Scholarship & Practice In Mind: The Case Study As Research Method, Paula Dawidowicz
With Scholarship & Practice In Mind: The Case Study As Research Method, Paula Dawidowicz
Walden Faculty and Staff Publications
Unlike theoretical scholars who seek knowledge to expand humanity’s (or their) understanding of a topic, scholar practitioners seek knowledge that can be applied to understand change or create change in a specific phenomenon. Although many of the same research methods can be used by both groups of educational scholars, and although research designs are determined in large part by the research questions being asked, several research methods can prove most useful for scholar practitioners examining learning environments. One, the case study, stands out as perhaps the most versatile and researcher-friendly, though. A case study, bounded by specific location and topic …
