Impact Of Peer-Tutoring On Rural At-Risk Fourth And Fifth Grade Students, Catherine J. Kremer

This study was designed to assess the impact of one full semester of peer- tutoring on 30 fourth and fifth grade at-risk students in a rural Midwestern community. A paired t - test was performed on the students' Grade Point Average (G.P.A . ) before and after tutoring. Statistical analysis of t he data revealed that students who received peer tutoring experienced a statistically significant gain in academic achievement as measured by G. P .A.
