Sleep is a vital aspect of any student-athletes daily routine to ensure optimal performance. This correlational study used both exploratory analysis through frequency tables and linear regression models to investigate football student-athletes’ sleep and performance over the course of a collegiate off-season. This study’s design set out to determine how the percent of nights student-athletes slept seven or more hours affected their ability to perform both academically and athletically. Male students appear not ready for middle school by exhibiting lower grades, learner disengagement, and/or behavior problems. The age in which male students initially enter school has not been fully investigated as a possible systemic issue of a lack of male student longitudinal success and learner engagement. The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the differences between how academically redshirted male students performed academically and behaviorally compared to their non-academically redshirted grade mates at Grades 6-8. Mobile learning can increase students' access to more affordable and quality college education for those living in remote areas. Even though the instructional aspect of mobile learning has received much attention, there has been limited consideration of the assessment aspect.
