A Survey Of Qualifications And Job Activities Of Employees Responsible For Space Analysis In Public Four Year Institutions Of Higher Education, Duane Marvin Skeen

This paper presents the results of a national survey of 342 four year public institutions of higher education. The survey was conducted by questionnaire. Its purpose was to determine the administrative level, educational background, and major job responsibilities of persons performing analysis of physical facility needs in colleges and universities. The survey revealed that 115 (46. 18 percent) of 249 responding institutions had such an employee. The most frequently reported job title was Campus Planner, and Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Education were the most common undergraduate majors. It was the purpose of this study (1) to examine the literature on differentiated staffing; (2) to determine the status of differentiated staffing in the first class districts of Washington State; (3) to compare the authorities' description of differentiated staffing to an actual pilot program implemented in Washington; (4) to determine the attitude of the certificated staff towards differentiated staffing in each building included in the study; (5) to determine if teachers and administrators in the buildings included in the study felt the differentiated staffing utilization of teachers improved instruction significantly more than was the case under traditional staffing; (6) …

A Study Of The Relationship Between Academic Promise Test Scores And Subsequent Achievement Test Scores And Course Grades At The Eighth Grade Level, Dallas B. Vaughan

The Academic Promise Test has been used to predict achievement over a three-month period. A study is needed to determine if the APT can predict achievement over a longer period of time (an academic year). This study is intended to determine how well the APT can predict pupils' achievement over a one year period on an achievement test battery and in terms of their average grades.

Cooperative Work Programs of many types exist at different educational levels in the United States. Specifically, the Cooperative Work Programs in Office Administration have undergone a rapid increase in this country over the last decade. The national expansion of the two-year college system has added greatly to this growth as has the passage of the Vocational Act of 1963 and the Amendments of the Act in 1968. One of the needs of all young people is education. Becoming involved in the added responsibilities of marriage and/or pregnancy magnifies the necessity of acquiring adequate education or training.
