According to California Agriculture Education there are 89,000 FFA students enrolled in 334 high schools throughout the state and of those students, 53% are of Hispanic descent (California Agriculture Education, 2019). Yet there are limited materials available in Spanish for these parents and students in the California FFA Organization. It is critical for more resources to be developed and made available for students, families, and communities to facilitate a smooth transition into FFA involvement.

Within the California Future Farmers of America Association (FFA), there are a variety of Leadership Development Events (LDE’s) including the Parliamentary Procedure contest. Within this contest students sharpen their knowledge through reviewing Robert's Rules of Order and applying this knowledge to an exam as well as a live demonstration. Through this contest, students also improve upon their public speaking skills and research agricultural education and industry issues. It was created to show the importance of SAE’s and the benefits students can gain from having an SAE. In order to capture a wide array of opinions the project includes interviews both from agriculture teachers and students to diversify the importance of having SAE’s in an agriculture program. The video shows how both students and teachers benefit from having SAE’s and why they are so crucial to a successful high school agriculture program.

The purpose of this senior project was to create an educational display about succulent Supervised Agriculture Experience (S.A.E.) projects. This display was presented at the Idea Show of the California Agriculture Teachers' Association (CATA). This show was part of the CATA's annual summer conference hosted by California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. The goal was to provide high school agriculture teachers throughout the state with creative ways to implement S.A.E. projects in their programs. The project included extensive planning and designing of the display, as well as photographs, 3-Dimensional projects and numerous teaching materials in handout form.

The purpose of this project was to create an educational video based upon hydroponic farming. It was created for agricultural educators, in hope high school agricultural teachers would show it in their classrooms. The goal was for students to be able to see a commercial style hydroponic system, and to understand the basic concepts of operation. The video was intended to be supplemented with additional printed information on alternative farming methods. It was not intended to be a sole source of information, but should instead be used to enhance the learning environment for students.
