This study was designed to determine relationships between cognitive asymmetry, gender, and reading achievement of black students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The sample consisted of black students from Central High School, a school of 1300 students located in an economically deprived area in eastern Arkansas. The sample was administered tests to determine right/left cognitive asymmetry and level of reading comprehension. The purpose of this study was to determine relationships between cognitive asymmetry and reading comprehension for males, females, and the total population of black, low socioeconomic students. This project presents the development of a student handbook for Odessa Junior-Senior High School. The handbook was designed to define the rules, regulations, procedures, requirements, activities and services of Odessa Junior-Senior High School. This is the first comprehensive handbook in the history of the school. The handbook was developed from the handbooks of many other high schools and the school board policy manual of the Odessa School District. Many sections have been approved as to legality. Recommendations include an annual review and revision of the handbook by a committee made up of faculty, administration, parents, school board and students.

The purpose of this study was to explore administrator compliance orientation and teacher personality relationships and differences between Catholic private and public school organizations in West Virginia. The Personality Research Form, Form E (Jackson, 1974) was administered to 41 teachers of a Catholic private school organization and to 38 teachers of a public school organization. Statistical analysis of the Personality Research Form, Form E (PRF-E) data using an ANOVA method revealed significant differences between the school organizational groups for 5 of the 22 personality traits measured. The purpose of this study was to examine the perceived quality of education and the employment expectations of the 1985 graduates of Fountain Central High School and to gather current statistics on those graduates. Subjects comprised 103 graduates of a rural, west central Indiana public high school. The graduates were administered a survey to determine opinions and perceptions of education received, to determine whether they were employed or continuing their education, and to determine what trends may be developing or maintained.

The subjects studied consisted of 13 school counselors who were using Individualized Career Plans in their respective high schools.
