The “What E.L.S.E.” Resource Guide For E.S.L. Students, Marc A. Santamaria

This field project is a resource guide for ESL students who want to study English on their own. This resource guide is ideal for motivated students who are at least high intermediate to advanced English students. This guide helps students create learning strategies that help them learn efficiently. There are three main sections of the resource guide: 1) vocabulary; 2) reading; and 3) writing. These three main sections provide students with exercises that also teach them how to further their English studies after finishing the resource guide.

The purpose of this mixed method research study is to investigate the educational effects of digital storytelling as a communicative language learning strategy in an EFL elementary school class in Korea. In order to find out the benefits and challenges of digital storytelling in EFL class, this study was conducted for 12 weeks in a rural elementary school. Heritage language learners (HLLs) in college are studied more than other groups of students with differences, and they are becoming more prevalent in the foreign language (FL) classroom. For the purpose of this study, HLL is defined as; an individual who has parents from a Spanish-speaking country, but was born in the United States and has an almost complete speaking proficiency and any range of grammatical dominance of Spanish (Valdés 2001). This definition eliminates those students who were born in Spanish-speaking countries and those who have little to no dominance of either speaking proficiency and grammatical dominance of the language. …

El objetivo de esta investigación fue contribuir a la formulación de un proyecto pedagógico y tecnológico que facilite la optimización en los procesos de motivación en el aprendizaje de una lengua extrajera (FLE). Para ello fue necesario tomar como población una muestra de estudiantes de diferentes edades entre los 15 y 54 años, los cuales cursaban los niveles 1, 2 y 3 de francés.
