The purpose of this action research project was to determine if there was a correlation between the use of iPads to improve student achievement and traditional methods of teaching with four and five-year-old English language learners (ELLs). Two control groups of four ELLs were taught in math three times a week. Control group A was taught using iPad applications to support math teaching in alongside traditional teachings in math. The purpose of this action research project was to determine if incorporating technology into a kindergarten-writing program could increase their motivation and attitudes, and hence improve their writing abilities. Two types of technology were introduced to the writing program; one being an electronic portfolio to share their work and the second was a digital story writing software. Data was collected by use of attitude surveys, observational notes, and student writing samples. Analysis of the data suggests that students were more engaged during the writing time and were very motivated to write if they could publish it to their online portfolio.

This action research project was put in place in order to identify the possible benefits of utilizing a flipped classroom technology program called Canvas in the sixth grade mathematics class. The purpose of this action research study was to determine if there is a connection between using technology and collaboration to help increase reading comprehension skills. A combination of research-based instructional strategies infused with technology was used over a ten-week period. Quantitative data was collected through weekly assessment scores. Analysis of the data concluded that students who were involved in an intervention program infused with technology and collaboration would have better knowledge of the story. After further analysis of the data it is concluded that students who were involved in this action research study improved their academic scores.

Math Technology: Assessing The Educational Value Of A Supplemental Practice Program, Shannon Tesch

The purpose of this action research project was to determine if the use of a supplemental computerized math practice program increases student achievement in the fractions domain for fifth graders. Two fifth grade math classes received the same classroom instruction. However, one class also utilized a computerized program three times per week for 20-30 minutes over a six-week period. Data was collected through quantitative pre- and post-assessments, quantitative survey questions, and qualitative student responses.
