Research shows that student success courses can enhance college success, yet not all students take such a course. In introductory psychology, we have an opportunity to help students develop skills related to success. Accordingly, this interactive workshop will: 1. Describe evidence related to success skills, 2. Discuss instructional approaches for introductory psychology that can improve students’ success skills, and 3. Consider using SOTL to explore the effectiveness of these approaches. Teachers will come away with new tools to embed in their classes that should enhance their students’ success.
