Is There A Correlation Between Creativity And Learning Achievement? A Meta-Analysis Study, Abdul Manaf, Sintha Sih Dewanti, Socheath Mam, Endang Susetyawati, Ika Ernawati
REID (Research and Evaluation in Education)
This study aims to describe the actual correlation between creativity and learning achievement. The research method used is a meta-analysis involving 41 research titles with 9,675 respondents. This research study involved respondents consisting of elementary education students, secondary education students, and higher education students. The data analysis technique used is a bare-bones meta-analysis. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant correlation between creativity and learning achievement, both overall and by considering the education level of the respondents. The results of this study recommend that teachers and lecturers develop student creativity in …

Jurnal Keolahragaan
Creativity is an ability that must not be lost during a pandemic. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of online-based task responses to students' creativity during the pandemic period and the difference is based on students living in rural and urban area. This type of research is a mixed method collected through an online-based assignment response questionnaire instrument, student creativity questionnaire instrument, and interview instruments. The sample of this study was a student of the 2017 physical education, health and recreational education program at Padang State University with a number of 68 …
Measuring Creativity In The Fermi Problem, A Type Of Mathematical Modeling, Applying Information Theory, Hidemichi Okamoto
Measuring Creativity In The Fermi Problem, A Type Of Mathematical Modeling, Applying Information Theory, Hidemichi Okamoto
Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE)
Many methods of measuring creativity have been studied - mainly in psychology. In recent years, there have been attempts to incorporate such creativity into mathematical modelling, a topic handled in mathematics education. Accordingly, some studies have been trying to assess creativity in it. However, there have been no clear criteria or formulas that can be used for any problem, since a rubric has been created for each problem and evaluated individually. In the present study, to measure creativity in the Fermi problem, a type of mathematical modelling, a formula that applies information theory used in information science is proposed and …
Writing Workshop And Creativity Despite Standardization: An Exploration Of Elementary Teachers' Practices, Darcie Kress, Matt Townsley
Writing Workshop And Creativity Despite Standardization: An Exploration Of Elementary Teachers' Practices, Darcie Kress, Matt Townsley
Journal of Research Initiatives
The focus on formulaic approaches to writing in today’s classrooms can be problematic, for it may inadvertently cause the quality of students’ writing to decline. The National Writing Project (NWP) provides teachers with professional development to learn how to effectively incorporate evidence-based practices into their writing instruction. The aim of this study was to explore the practices of three elementary teachers who received professional development training from the NWP. The researchers investigated how these teachers navigated the tension between creativity in a workshop approach and accountability for teaching the Common Core writing standards. Findings suggest participants navigated the standardization of …
Student-Developed Laboratory Activities Using Rolling Object On An Inclined Plane To Improve Student Learning, Qing Shao, Joseph Ametepe
Student-Developed Laboratory Activities Using Rolling Object On An Inclined Plane To Improve Student Learning, Qing Shao, Joseph Ametepe
Georgia Journal of Science
This work presents an alternative method of teaching undergraduate introductory physics laboratory. Students are presented with an experimental scenario “Rolling object on an inclined plane” and guided to develop their own laboratory activities in a studio-style setting. The overall goal of this alternative approach is to shift part of the learning responsibility to students. Through guided self-developed activities, students establish the connections between different physics concepts. Such a shift makes students active participants in the classroom, allows them to explore ideas independently, and discover through doing the exploring. Furthermore, the pedagogy is aimed at (i) motivating and actively engaging students …
Social Stress In Honors College Students: How Personality Traits, Perfectionism, Creativity, And Gender Predict Use Of Social Coping Strategies, Angie L. Miller
Social Stress In Honors College Students: How Personality Traits, Perfectionism, Creativity, And Gender Predict Use Of Social Coping Strategies, Angie L. Miller
SENG Journal: Exploring the Psychology of Giftedness
Much research has focused on how gifted children and adolescents deal with the social stigmas associated with giftedness. Previous studies indicate that several coping strategies exist, and these are related to personality and other characteristics. However, once these gifted individuals enter higher education, they are often required to shift their coping strategies to deal with stressors and situations in this new environment. This study investigates social coping strategies among honors college undergraduate students, looking at the need for updating the factor structure of a measure of social coping designed for and used with middle and high school students. Results suggest …

Palestine Technical University Research Journal
This research aims to study the relationship and impact between the application of managerial innovation and the strategy of entrepreneurship in terms of (creativity, offensive competition, proactive, and risk-taking) in the Palestinian Islamic Development Company as a case study. The research followed the descriptive analytical method, based on the methodology of modeling structural equations through the use of the Advanced Statistical Analysis Program (Smart PLS3) to test the study hypotheses. The research community consists of the employees working in the company's supervisory sites, who number (80) members, and a comprehensive inventory method was chosen to collect the study data. The …
