Dr. Faust was written during the period of Humanism and Renaissance, with an everlasting value throughout history. It describes the never ceasing desire of the human soul and mind to try to lurk for things beyond the grasp of the human ratio. The author, Christopher Marlowe gave the seal of eternity to this book, by characterizing his main character with all the possible wishes that one can dream of.
