Mastery Learning And The Essentials Of Critical Care Orientation : A Heuristic Participant Evaluation, Mitchell J. Seal

This study employed a heuristic -participant evaluation of the instruction of the web-based Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) program using two research questions: (1) How well does the ECCO adhere to Bloom's theory of mastery learning and instruction; and (2) What effect, if any, does this have on the participant RN? Evaluation findings demonstrated that the ECCO is 66 hours of expository instruction with little to no meaningful feedback, correction, or enrichment activity, is not well aligned, and has significant design flaws related to objectives and transfer of instruction and to the processes of instruction. There exists a discrepancy with the number of females in the California superintendency being twenty-three percent, whereas seventy five percent of all educators are female. This study examined the demographics of the typical female superintendent in California as well as the perceived perceptions of these females in attaining the position. This study examined barriers to the superintendency and successful strategies utilized by females in attaining the public school superintendency. College Students And Voter Mobilization Campaigns : A Grounded Communication Theory For Increasing Political Efficacy And Involvement, Vanessa M. Robinson

This study examined which channels, messages, and sources were most effective in increasing political involvement among college students. Political participation among college students has decreased in every election since eighteen year- olds were given the right to vote. Numerous campaigns targeted to increase political participation among college students have been implemented but there is no evidence that these campaigns have been effective.
