The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Yo-Yo intermittent recovery testing ability and 20-meter sprint times in NCAA Division I men’s and women’s collegiate soccer players. Results show no significant (p = >0.05) relationship between the distance covered in the Yo-Yo IR1 test and 20-meter sprint times in the female players and a significant correlation between the two tests in the male players (r = -0.33). A non-significant relationship between the tests in female players may be due to greater variation in the total distance covered during the Yo-Yo IR1 test and small variation …

The purpose of this non-experimental quantitative correlational study was to investigate the relationship between academic achievement and health in a national sample of college students using quantitative data analysis. Specifically, the researcher analyzed the relationship between three health-promoting behaviors (physical activity, strength training, and fruit and vegetable consumption), three negative health behaviors (cigarette, e-cigarette, and opioid use) and obesity with GPA.

An online school climate survey was used to collect responses from participants in intermediate grades and focused on the 3 major components of school climate: school engagement, school environment, and school safety. Data were collected for 2 consecutive years in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. The purpose of this dissertation was to evaluate the stability of strength asymmetry over a long-term period (1 year) and investigate the relationship of strength asymmetry to field test performance asymmetry in NCAA division-1 athletes. Isometric mid-thigh pull (IMTP) peak force asymmetry, ground contact time and finish time asymmetries on 10m sprint and 505 agility test performances were also observed. Using a qualitative research design, interviews were conducted with 36 freshman scholarship student-athletes. Participants represented student-athletes from each sport. A literature review covered the history of intercollegiate athletics, the history of recruiting student-athletes, the process of recruiting student-athletes, and the decline of public perception towards intercollegiate athletics. This study compared the non-traditional student with the traditional student in radiography programs in Virginia's community colleges.
