The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to understand the lived experience of elementary math and middle school teachers’ with social-emotional learning and math achievement for Midwestern and Western schools within urban and suburban areas. The theory guiding this study was based on Maslow’s (1943) theory of the hierarchy of needs, which was grounded in the belief that learning could not occur until basic and fundamental psychological needs were met for people. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to describe the educational experiences of gifted adult students who have experienced traumatic brain injury (TBI). The theory guiding this phenomenological study was Kazimierz Dabrowski's theory of positive disintegration, with a focus on how the tragedy of various natures impacts the development of an individual's identity. The purpose of this quantitative, predictive correlational study was to investigate the relationship between leader self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, years of experience, and transformational leadership practices of physician assistant (PA) program directors. This study is important in providing a greater understanding of the internal determinants and factors that influence the program directors’ beliefs in their success and effectiveness as leaders. Participants for this study included a sample of 86 PA program directors across the United States. This quantitative predictive correlational and causal-comparative study aimed to explore the relationship between early childhood social-emotional scores, SES, and academic achievement in elementary school students located in the western Midlands of South Carolina.
