This literature review explores the different components that make up art education and how they impact student social and emotional development and well-being. Social and emotional development is defined before going into detail about what the visual arts teach and how they can be an oasis for students that enjoy expressing themselves and have different ways of thinking, all while helping other students develop those skills.
