Reform efforts in the early 1980's were barely more than reorganizations and reapplications of existing ineffective and inaccurate beliefs and practices. In 'A Place Called School', John Goodlad boldly used a new word in his calls for school change: restructuring. Less than ten years later, educational restructuring might well be called a national movement.

Can Logo be used to solve "real world" problems, or must Logo challenges be contrived and solved from within simulated contexts, such as turtle graphics or LEGO/Logo? Recently, I received an interesting request by electronic mail that showed me that Logo can, in certain situations, function as more than an educational tool.
