This was a study of teachers’ responses concerning art workshop experiences in a summer demonstration school. Three major aspects of the study were: (1) to determine the relative values that teachers placed on selected art experiences, (2) to determine from teachers’ responses the effectiveness of the art workshop program, (3) to identify possible improvements as indicated by the participants in a questionnaire to be described later.

School health programs, composed of activities and services, are organized to meet the health needs of the students in the college environment. The type and extent of the program varies with each educational institution according to its own specific resources. The factors determining the scope include (1) the size, location, and financial resources of the college; (2) the type and composition of' the student body; (a) tile number of students including dormitory and apartment type on-campus living; (4) the professional health personnel; and (5) the community health resources.

This study was conducted for the purpose of determining whether the size of school districts (in terms of the number of teachers they employ) affects the employment of the instructional staff with regard to their academic preparation, experiences, and professional interest. This study is concerned with how the school is to proceed in a program of conservation education to bring about these desired changes. It is concerned, however, with only one link in the long chain of activities composing the total conservation education program--the development of a cooperative evaluation technique in appraising certain community agencies that can be used by the schools of Stanislaus county in teaching conservation of the resources most vital to the county; namely, soil and water. The study attempted to evaluate the agencies in terms of the accessibility and adaptability of their use to the school program.

The problem for this study is “How can the Industrial Arts Program implement the Framework for Education in California?”

The Framework was designed as a basic guide for all areas and levels. The principles and recommendations are of necessity, broad and general. The problem then resolved itself into converting these broad principles and recommendations into specific suggestions to be applied in the Industrial Arts classroom. In solving this problem it is intended to develop (1) specific types of experiences needed and (2) methods and organization required to achieve maximum utilization of these experiences.
