With the importance of English language proficiency in the job market in China and globally, an increasing number of Chinese students seek advanced education in English-speaking countries, and many students choose Canadian higher education institutions because of their high-quality education programs. Beginning in 2020, because of the COVID-19 health crisis, many higher education institutions temporarily moved their courses online, which caused different types of challenges for teachers and students.
