This policy, agreed to by The Faculty Senate and administration, outlines the principles of shared governance at The University of Maine and is entered into freely by a faculty and an administration committed to a common vision of the mission of the University. As intended by this policy, the tenets of shared governance or collaborative decision-making are felt most strongly with regard to academic policies.
