Each year academic regalia at US universities is a central component associated with the pomp and circumstance of commencement exercises. At one university, faculty of 20 different colleges play a significant role during those same commencement exercises. Currently, the Academic Costume Code, maintained by the American Council on Education, serves as the governing body for academic regalia at universities around the country. Impacts Of Neoliberal Managerial Practices On Faculty Engagement In Student Learning Assessment, Christopher Urban

Faculty perceptions of student learning assessment were examined in the context of neoliberal trends in higher education in this exploratory survey study. For this preliminary study, a small department consisting of sixteen faculty members was surveyed. Responding faculty rated themselves as highly engaged in assessment, and rated course uses of assessment as more important than institutional uses of assessment. Faculty perceived administrators as placing more importance on institutional uses over course uses, though the gap between administrators and faculty was less in course uses than in institutional uses. Training employees is fundamental for dairy producers to achieve efficiency in order to increase profitability. Training videos offered online are becoming more common and recommended to train employees. The goals of this survey were to evaluate the comfort level of dairy employees in using computers and tablets, and preferred training delivery methods. A total of 71 employees from 6 dairies were interviewed. Interviews were conducted in the preferred language of the interviewee – English or Spanish. Of the respondents, 52 and 65.6% of employees consider computers and tablets easy to use, respectively. More than half of the employees reported that …
