The purpose of this project was to develop a model Marketing Education/Store Management program for Klahowya Secondary School. The model program was designed for implementation with second year (grades 11-12) marketing education students at Klahowya Secondary School, Central Kitsap School District, Silverdale, Washington. To accomplish this purpose a review of literature was conducted. Additionally, related information and materials from selected sources were obtained and analyzed, including a survey that was sent to marketing education teachers in the State of Washington.

The School-to-Work Opportunities Act was designed to improve student learning, in-school retention, and transition to the workplace by improving the quality and relevance of education for all students. School-to-work uses experiences that integrate school-based and work-based learning and improve students' knowledge of and access to career opportunities. Administered by the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor, the School-to-Work Opportunities Act gives States seed money to design and implement their own comprehensive School-to-Work system. The purpose of this study was to develop a Tech Prep Program for horticulture education. This program focused on career goals of students enrolled at South Kitsap High School and South Seattle Community College. To accomplish this purpose, current research and literature on Tech Prep models, career paths, and the horticulture industry were reviewed. Electronics is now being taught in the Highline District in one course for one year in each of the four high schools. There are no formal district objectives tor this course, no sequence of instruction, no list of course content. The writer has felt the need for the above and has interviewed all four instructors in the district and the assistant superintendent of instruction.
