The purpose of this project was to develop a model art curriculum for primary-level students in Taiwan. To accomplish this purpose, a review of literature and research related to current practice in art education, curriculum and instruction was conducted. Additionally, related inf01mation from selected sources was obtained and analyzed.

An in-service training manual with effective strategies for managing students' behavior was designed for Primary Schools in Belize. The techniques and materials included are based on a review of relevant literature, best practices and appropriate resources collected from elementary and middle schools in the United States and one primary school in Belize. The manual will provide school principals and teachers with criteria for developing school-wide discipline plans, programs for encouraging and recognizing good behavior, and effective classroom behavior management and intervention strategies.

This project was to design and develop a model program in music orientation and skill development for Li-Gang Elementary School, Ping-Dong, Taiwan. To accomplish the purpose, a review of current literature regarding elementary-level music programs was conducted. The program emphasizes activities that will help music become a part of a child's overall development and education, and is based on the premise that music classes for young children should be "Fun with a Purpose" and "Learning by Doing".
