Christian education is distinct, but school leaders are not always aware of, or may not agree on, what makes it so. The term, Christian education, is ubiquitous, but is not precise. Christian educators require clear, rich language that can be used to effectively communicate the specific norms, operations, and aims of their work. Through the use of John Frame’s triperspectival methodology, this article provides a focused epistemological, metaphysical, and axiological analysis of the unique nature of Christian education with the aim of producing clarifying terminology. The purpose of this research is to explore the various styles of leadership within education that are practiced by principals, administrators, and other educational leaders and how it impacts education, specifically the implications for school climate and teacher job satisfaction. The styles of leadership explored in this research include Affiliative, Authoritative, Autocratic, Coaching, Coercive, Democratic, Laissez-Faire, Pacesetting, Transactional, and Transformational. Each style of leadership is defined and demonstrates the effect it has on schools. This applied research project uses a mixed method approach to analyze curricular reform at a private Christian school in Chesapeake, Virginia. The study aimed to answer two questions regarding curricular reform at the school. Are the teachers seeking to improve the curriculum to which they have been entrusted? Have their attitudes and perceptions regarding the change in template evolved over time? Using the Concerns-Based Adoption Model, two separate surveys were coded based on the model’s Stages of Concern and Levels of Use. Although Cedarville College was founded in 1887, a turning point in the institution’s history came when the trustees of the Baptist Bible Institute of Cleveland assumed institutional control. It was in 1953 that James T. Jeremiah, a young pastor in Dayton, began his long association with the College. For 47 years, Jeremiah served as “Mr. Cedarville.” He assumed the office of acting president somewhat reluctantly, but once the position was his, he committed himself totally to the task of providing Christian students, especially those from Baptist homes, a place to gain their education from those who shared their worldview.
