Abstract:

The study aimed at describing the relationship between psychological stress, psychological flexibility, and parental upbringing methools with psychological adjustment for gifted students in Jordan. The study sample included (180) male and female students enrolled at King Abdullah the second and Alyoubil for giftedness. To achieve the goal of the study, the researchers developed the study tools, which consisted of psychological stresses scale, flexibility scale, and parental upbringing methools scale, and psychological adjustment scale. This study aimed at measuring reflective thinking and its relationship with the favored learning styles among gifted students in Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of (250) male and female students. A reflective thinking scale, that included (12) items, was developed and the scale of favored learning styles, which was developed by Al-Kahtani (2014) was applied after verifying its validity and reliability, and which contains three styles: the dynamic, visual and auditory styles. The study aimed at evaluating the curricula and teaching methods used in the gifted programs. The study sample consisted of (23) schools that were chosen of the central region according to the intentional method .The participating students (388) were distributed as: (140) male-students, (248) female-students and (45) male and female teachers; (5) teachers with less than (5) years of experience, (15) teachers with less than (10) years of experience, and (25) teachers had more than (10) years of experience. Validity and reliability were verified.
