The Degree Of Practicing The “Responsible Leadership” By Deans Of Faculties As Perceived By Academic Staff At Jordanian Universities, Najah Qasaimeh, Aref Atari

This study aimed to investigate the degree of practicing of ‘Responsible Leadership’ by deans of faculties as perceived by academic staff at Jordanian universities. The descriptive methodology was employed, and a 4-dimension questionnaire composed of (37) items was administered to a sample of (350) academic staff in the first semester of 2021-2022. The four dimensions are: personal characteristics, relationship with followers, sense of responsibility and decision making. The findings revealed that the degree of practice was “mild”. The study aimed at determining the degree of academic leaderships at King Abd Al- azeez University for governance from the faculty members perspectives. The study sample consisted of (323) teaching staff members randomly selected from the study population consisting of (3057) teaching staff members from King Abd Al- azeez University. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire of (30) items was developed.
