The Bureau of Labor Statistics for the year 2000 stated that Baby Boomers (age thirty-six through fifty-four) represented fifty percent of the United States labor force while Generation X (age twenty to thirty-five) represented some thirty-three percent, a significant decline in workforce. This demographic, time bomb indicates the urgency for many organizations in developed countries to prepare for and cope with the imminent retirement of their aging workforce.

This essay encapsulates my perspective (newly-tenured and seven years into my career) on how average professors can become highly effective professors. The secret rests in the ability to genuinely connect with students. Connecting really matters - even if it takes some personality adaptation and thrusts academics out of their comfort zones. Approximate Solution Of Fractional Integro-Differential Equations By Taylor Expansion Method, Li Huang

In this paper, Taylor expansion approach is presented for solving (approximately) a class of inear fractional integro-differential equations including those of Fredholm and of Volterra types. By means of themth-order Taylor expansion of the unknown function at an arbitrary point, the linear fractional integro-differential equation can be converted approximately to a system of equations for the unknown function itself and its m derivatives under initial conditions. This method gives a simple and closed form solution for a linear fractional integro-differential equation. In addition, illustrative examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.

US schools have long struggled with what has recently been identified as the “achievement gap.” While the debate ensues in regards to an explicit definition for this phenomenon, research overwhelmingly demonstrates that students of marginalized populations remain on the lower end of most measures of school success. Accordingly, advocates of social justice point to the disparities of resources, including quality teachers, experienced by students in poverty.
